If you are looking for authentic Thai Food in Toronto, your search has ended. At Pi-Tom's restaurants you'll find traditional Thai food straight from Thailand. Don't assume that the food is spicy hot. Most foods are mild and flavorful, although any dish can be spiced to your taste.
If you want real Thai cuisine, here are some meal suggestions from Thai chef, Tom Luangpitak of Pi-Tom's Toronto Thai restaurants: |

Pad Kee Mao

This Thai dish is very representative of traditional Thai food. It's made with rice noodles stir fried with egg, fresh chicken, onion, pepper and of course, basil. The name translates as "drunken noodles" and this meal definitely calls out for one of the available malt beers on the menu. This dish is one of the spicier ones on the menu, but you can request that the spice is toned down if you prefer.
Pad Thai

One of the most popular items on any Thai menu. The Pad Thai on the menu is not quite traditional, but is the style of Pad Thai that most North Americans are accustomed to. You can special request traditional Pad Thai. It's an interesting change from the dish as you know it. You'll find it less spicy and more flavorful. When you order it, note the flavor of the sweet tamarind sauce and the subtle use of lemon juice.
Duck Salad

Duck is extremely popular in Thailand, yet not many Toronto Thai restaurants give it much prominence in their menus. So for a taste of Thailand, order anything with duck on the menu. It's all delicious. As a recommendation, try the Duck Salad. With BBQ duck tossed with onion, lemon juice and pepper, it's a simple, but flavorful dish.
Curry Chicken

Another of the most popular items on the menu and one of Pi-Tom's favorites is the Curry Chicken. Curries are common in Thailand and this restaurant does them particularly well. If you catch Tom himself eating lunch, he'll probably be eating this green curry dish which reminds him of home. As an alternative to the chicken try the Curry Fish, made with red curry and snapper. Both are quite warm to the tongue.
Peanut Chicken

Of course, peanut dishes like this one are very popular. The Peanut Chicken dish consists of fresh chicken pieces stir-fried in a traditional peanut sauce with long beans. Mildly spiced and very tasty.
Thai Desserts

Pi-Tom doesn't sell a lot of desserts because guests are usually quite satisfied with the generous main course portions. However, if you can save a little room for dessert there are some delicious choices. Top recommendation is the Deep Fried Bananas with Coconut Ice Cream. It's to die for...really! Or as an alternative, try the Deep Fried Pineapple with Coconut Ice Cream. And for a truly beautiful and refreshing treat, go for the Mango Mousse.
